Chao Bella
Chao Bella is a charming little place located on one of the sidestreets off the Plaza de la Paz. The interior is rather sparse, but with punches of color everywhere. Usually, they are very busy in the afternoon, but the evening is kind of slow. The Boy and I went in the evening since neither of us like a crush of people. We were seated in the front room, near some double doors leading out to a small balcony. The street was pretty quiet, so we got a slight breeze and light from the setting sun without too much car honking or exhaust fumes. Our waiter spoke decent English and decided that we would be most comfortable speaking in English too. Which actually ended up being a little weird since I was prepared to speak Spanish. When confronted with English, I ended up speaking an uncomfortable combination of both languages. Oh well.
