Marvel Comics Graphic Novels

Marvel Comics Graphic Novels

Marvel Comics has just released a small collection of graphic novels in the iBooks store, bringing for the first time top-tier graphic novels to the iPad that aren’t sold or viewed through a third-party app.A total of 20 graphic novels have appeared in the iBooks store, including The New Avengers, Captain America, Spider-Man, X-Men, Hulk, Ender’s Game, Dark Tower, and a few more. Compared to the wide choice available at a comic shop, the selection is limited, but it marks a turning point for digital comics.Currently, most big-title comics are sold through third-party apps like Comics, or Marvel and DC’s own apps. This is the first major release of comics in Apple’s own iBooks store.Pricing looks reasonable, with the average price per volume sitting around $10 —  at most a dollar or two cheaper than the print versions.
