Bella Makeover

With makeover studios becoming more and more popular in cities such as New York and London, it’s only a relatively new concept here in Ireland and after a recent trip down to Cavan for Vince Tully’s ‘Makeovers for free’, it inspired me to see what the other makeover studios in Ireland can offer, and who exactly they can cater for.I know for some, it’s great for a fun ‘day out’ with the girls – where you have an excuse to get completely made over, sip champagne and play America’s Next Top Model with your friends for a few hours and then take home a picture proving that we too could grace the cover of Elle Magazine, with the help of little airbrushing and some extra bronzer... And for others, it offers a chance to experience what it might be like to do a ‘real’ photo shoot and see if they might have what it takes to jump into the model industry.So I decided to check out Bella Makeover Studios – one of the better known studios in Dublin, set up by ex-apprentice star Jennifer Maguire, and followed the gorgeous Shannen Donohue for the day– an 18-year-old student from Co. Laois - as she strutted her stuff for the camera in her debut photo shoot!
