Active Care

The first Active Care Newsletter went out early this week, if you missed out by not being on the list be sure to click the link below and sign up. The Newsletter is an easy to way to stay on top of current events at Active Care and receive helpful tips on preventing injures and many other topics. Enjoy. The majority of the joints in our bodies are synovial joints. The basic structure of a synovial joint includes two bones coming together to make a joint with a synovial membrane wrapped around and synovial fluid contained by the membrane. It is important to know that the articular cartilage of these joints rely on the synovial fluid for lubrication and nutrients. Therefore warming up a synovial joint is going to get the lubrication and nutrients moving around the joint.Anyone my age (30s) or older has probably experienced this in some form or another; a shoulder, a knee, or perhaps a back that is achy and stiff in the morning and feels better after you move it around a bit.
